USA's Temperature Extremes

Q: What are the highest and lowest temperatures ever recorded in the USA?

A: Our own Death Valley holds the title for hottest temperature, 134F° on July 10, 1913. Prospect Creek Camp in the Endicott Mountains of northern Alaska observed -80°F on Jan. 23, 1971.
