Coldest Time of Night

Share

Q: When I get up at 4AM the outside temperature is warmer than at 8AM. Why does it drop?

A: During a clear and calm night the earth looses heat. The longer this process runs, the more the Earth cools. The Earth keeps cooling until the sun's rays are strong enough to begin warming it, usually an hour after sunrise.
