Best & Worst Energy Efficient States

Share

The American Council for Energy-Efficient Economy(ACEEE) developed an energy efficient ranking system for states.  California was the best.  Even the recession did not dim our state's growing focus on energy efficiency.  What they measured in tomorrow's blurb.

The ACEEE examines six energy efficiency policy areas: (1) utility-sector and public benefits programs and policies; (2) transportation polices; (3) building energy codes; (4) combined heat and power; (5) state government initiatives; and (6) appliance efficiency standards.

The American Council for Energy-Efficient Economy scorecard had California as the most efficient state followed by Massachusetts, Connecticut, Oregon, New York, Vermont, Washington, Minnesota, Rhode Island, and Maine.

The American Council for Energy-Efficient Economy said Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Georgia, Alaska, West Virginia, Nebraska, Alabama, Mississippi, North Dakota, and Wyoming were the states with the most room for improvement.  That's putting it nicely....
