Cooling Trend & Windy Early This Week

Share

A windy weather system blows through our neighborhoods tonight until Wednesday morning.  Be prepared for gusty winds at the coast, bay shore, and our higher elevations. This storm, we call an inside slider, will bring snow to the Sierra but the precipitation will bypass us to the east/inside sections of California.

A touch of fall returns to our forecast as our afternoon temperatures will drop 10 - 20 degrees by Tuesday afternoon

Most of these reporting stations are just outside the advisory area.  San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, and Santa Cruz are the only sites withing the advisory area and they are at the lowest levels where winds will be slower.  This gives you an idea of just how much faster the wind speeds will be as you ascend.
