Latest Yearly Rainfall Totals

Share

Our Mediterranean climate dictates we look at weather, especially our wet and dry seasons, differently than just about all other areas across the country.  Most official weather reporting stations use the calendar year to document yearly rainfall totals.  For us, we begin July 1st and end June 30th of the following year.

The graphic shows our total rainfall since July 1st and how much this total is above or below average for today’s date.  Rainfall totals were running below average until last Tuesday’s record setting rain.  Since then we’ve added more rain the next day as storm moved east and from another storm this past Monday.
