Record Cold Possible Today & Tonight

Share

The modified arctic airmass that brought us snow this morning will keep daytime temperatures 10 - 15° cooler than average.  If temperatures only reach the middle to upper 40s, a few of our neighborhoods may set record cold high temperatures.

After the sunsets, about 4:50 this afternoon, temperatures will drop quickly.  The coldest air, so far this fall, will threaten record low temperatures everywhere tonight.  A thick, killing frost is likely in our valleys with scattered frost around the bay shoreline and coastal communities.  Low temperatures Tuesday night will be almost as chilly.

23 degrees this morning in Woodacre, just past Fairfax in Marin County.

We're frequently almost as cold as Santa Rosa.
