Same Rain, Different Delivery

A strengthening El Nino is living up to its billing so far this month.  A series of storms, energized and driven to the Bay Area by the warmer than average eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean, dropped impressive rainfall amounts across the bay from Thursday through Sunday.  The showery nature of these past systems created bursts of rain and minor road flooding.

Our next rain producer is just one potent storm.  Unlike our last one, this storm produces steady rain over a 24-hour period.  The rain begins in the North Bay Tuesday morning and slowly spreads south.

Even though we get there in a different ways, rainfall totals will be nearly the same.  The lone exception occurs in the North Bay mountains where the potential for up to 4 inches may fall.
