Weekend Hiking Forecast

Share

Hi, Mike, my name is Alex. I am going on a big hike in the area on Saturday, December 17. I know it's still almost 3 weeks away but I was wondering if there's any way to tell right now if we'll have some storm system passing that day over our area or if I'll be lucky enough and the weather stays dry?

Thank you for your time.  Regards,

Alex

Hi Alex,

While it’s possible, a forecast nearly two weeks out can change rapidly from one day to the next.  We are mostly looking at trends more than anything else.

Forecast
Our medium range computer forecasting models reach 16 days.  I first looked at your request December 1st.  At that time, the trend was dry.  Any storms were going to stay north in Oregon and Washington.  Today, the models show a storm sliding south from the Gulf of Alaska with showers spreading across the Bay Area from Friday evening through Saturday evening.  Right now, it begins as rain.  By sunset Saturday, it will be cold enough for snow down to 3000’.

Best advice, stay tuned…  The forecast will be more complete the closer we get to your date.

Hope this helps.

My best,

Mike

Checking up on weather forecasts for prospected outdoor trips are very important. When you're going up against nature, safety is definitely the first priority.

Looks like we'll be depending on this tool for our camping trip next month. I'd love to have a good weather on that same day.

Too bad you can't hike or camp outdoors with that weather. Better luck next time and be sure to bring all your important tools.

If you must continue despite unfavorable weather conditions, just make the necessary adjustments. This includes probably choosing a safer path and bringing rain gear.

Thank you for your excellent report exposing the complicated crimes of these grotesque thieves and liars. Walter's apology through his criminal mouth piece is nothing but self serving. He is the the Mastermind. As a victim, and for other victims, I thank you for shedding light into the Ng & Horwitz nightmare.
